A shadow of myself on a sunny afternoon in Rome. My last week, I squeezed in as many museums, art shows, shopping sprees, walking spurts and food items as was humanly possible. | |
| When I wasn't smooching with the mock-gladiator outside the Coliseum, I was taking in the sights of this ancient ruin. I saw una mostra of gladiator frescoes from Pompeii, rocks from the entrance to the vomitoriums, and actual weapons of the real gladiators, among other bits and pieces of this playground of the early Romans. It seemed like a fitting place to bid my farewell to my adopted city. For now. | ||
