Throughout Rome, there are these people who act as human freeze frames: the ubiquitous Egyptian Mummies and many Statues of Liberty. This was the first time I have ever seen a gun-slinging cowboy. I happened upon him in the Piazza Navona. He was particularly popular with the Italian children. When you paid him, he opened his bright white eyes and glared. Or, smiled, depending upon who tossed in the Euro.
