There are several islands in the Lagoon of Venice. One is the cemetery, one is famous for glass, one is a step back in time. And, one is called Burano, famous for its lacemaking. | |
| I was told by several friends that the Venetian island I should definitely visit was Burano. They were right. I spent a lovely afternoon on this tiny little island, covered with houses all dressed up like Easter eggs. I had a fabulous lunch of fresh fish, visited the lace museum, and sat on a tiny little pier, dangling my feet over the side and taking in the quiet and the sun. | ||
